Imperial is seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Distribution & Logistics Manager to lead the optimization of our domestic distribution network, including warehouse planning, inventory flow, equipment upgrades, WMS administration, and fulfillment operations across our U.S. sites in Bourbon, Bonne Terre, Ellington, and Winona, MO. This individual will play a critical role in improving operational efficiency, reducing lead times, and controlling freight and distribution costs. The ideal candidate has a strong background in warehouse and transportation management, people leadership, vendor partnerships, and systems/process optimization. This role offers high visibility with leadership, cross- functional teams, and external fulfillment partners.

Salary: $95,000 - $115,000

Location: Hybrid - Bourbon, Mo.
Travel: 5% International, Frequent Domestic Travel

What You’ll be Doing

Distribution Network Optimization

  • Lead efforts to optimize Imperial’s multi-site distribution and fulfillment network to support growth,
    scalability, and near/far-shore supplier expansion.
  • Evaluate and refine processes across facilities to ensure efficient movement of goods and error-
    proof workflows.
  • Partner with carriers and 3PLs (UPS, FedEx, regional providers) to negotiate contracts, manage
    pickups, and optimize routing and order planning.

Warehouse Planning & Execution

  • Support warehouse layout design, stock allocation, and material flow to maximize efficiency.
  • Oversee equipment planning and purchasing (racking, forklifts, mail machines, tape machines, fans, etc.) including leases, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Lead initiatives around carton/pallet optimization, equipment utilization, and space efficiency.

Inventory, Labor & Strategic Planning

  • Drive inventory planning, forecasting, and SIOP alignment to support seasonal and custom SKU demand.
  • Oversee labor and resource allocation, including headcount planning for rush periods and holiday peaks.
  • Map personnel, processes, and workflows across facilities to optimize throughput.

WMS (Deposco) Administration & Process Improvement

  • Serve as Deposco system administrator:
    • Plan and design new updates/features, integrating into workflows.
    • Troubleshoot daily issues, discrepancies, and system changes.
    • Document and implement SOPs/Standard Work, ensuring compliance and training of staff.
    • Connect WMS processes with embroidery, QC, and shipping to streamline the end-to-end distribution process.

Vendor, Fulfillment & Cost Management

  • Evaluate and manage vendor partnerships, ensuring contractual obligations, KPIs, and cost targets are met.
  • Negotiate freight and equipment contracts while driving accountability for cost savings and service performance.
  • Provide leadership with weekly reporting, scorecards, and budget oversight for cost center performance.

Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead, coach, and develop 4–5 Supervisors and a team of 30–40 associates across multiple sites.
  • Guide Supervisors through escalated distribution challenges and atypical orders.
  • Promote a culture of safety, learning, and continuous improvement using Lean/CI methodologies.
  • Lead meetings, delegate responsibilities, and foster cross-functional collaboration with operations, customer service, and production.

What We Need

  • 10+ years of experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain roles, with at least 5+ years in leadership.
  • Proven success managing multi-site warehouse and distribution operations.
  • Strong expertise in domestic freight, fulfillment operations, and freight/lead-time reduction initiatives.
  • Hands-on WMS administration experience (Deposco preferred) and ERP knowledge (NetSuite ideal).
  • Experience in equipment purchasing, leasing, and vendor management.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and decision-making skills in high-mix/high-volume environments.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills internally and externally.
  • Experience with Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or related field
