Imperial is seeking a hands-on, self-directed Electromechanical Maintenance Technician to support our production operation in Bourbon, Missouri. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining production equipment used in a high-volume custom apparel decoration environment. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience, works well under pressure, and takes pride in keeping equipment safe, reliable, and running at peak performance.

Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (flexible; 1.5x OT eligible)
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on production machinery and facility equipment to support safe, efficient operations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electronic issues across embroidery, screen printing, and related production equipment.
Repair or replace worn or failed parts including motors, belts, bearings, relays, wiring, controls, sensors, pneumatic components, and mechanical assemblies.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, repair manuals, and technical drawings to support maintenance and repair work.
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns during production hours to minimize downtime and protect output schedules.
Complete cleaning, lubrication, alignment, adjustment, calibration, and inspection of critical machine components.
Assist with equipment setup, installation, testing, and commissioning for new or upgraded machinery.
Partner with operators and supervisors to identify recurring equipment issues and recommend improvements that reduce breakdowns and improve reliability.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair history, and parts usage through digital or manual tracking methods.
Support general facility maintenance needs as required, which may include basic plumbing, painting, flooring repair, HVAC support, and coordination with outside contractors for specialized repairs.
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout practices, and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
High school diploma or GED required.
2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical systems, motors, controls, wiring, bearings, belts, gears, pneumatics, and troubleshooting practices.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, multimeters, diagnostic tools, and precision measuring instruments safely and effectively.
Ability to read and understand schematics, manuals, blueprints, and other technical documentation.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under time pressure in a fast-paced production setting.
Strong organizational skills, follow-through, attention to detail, and quality mindset.
Professional attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with production teams.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand or walk for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise and temperature variation.
Technical/vocational training or an associate degree in industrial maintenance, electromechanical technology, mechatronics, or a related field.
Experience supporting equipment in apparel decoration, textile, printing, or other precision manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems, maintenance software, or CMMS tools.
Basic PLC, drive, sensor, or automated control systems knowledge.
OSHA, electrical safety, or lockout/tagout training or certification.
