Imperial is seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain to oversee planning and procurement processes, driving strategic initiatives for long-term stability and efficiency. This role involves leading teams, optimizing inventory management, enhancing procurement practices, and maintaining robust supplier relationships. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.

Salary: $150,000 - $170,000

What You’ll be Doing

  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Own the SIOP (Sales Inventory Operations Planning) process to meet revenue objectives.
    • Ensure accurate customer requirement flow through system workflows.
    • Set and manage min-max/kanban replenishment processes.
    • Analyze and articulate inventory projections, balancing inventory targets and stock availability.
    • Develop global procurement strategies focused on reducing total costs and lead times.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and mentor the production planning team to execute standardized workflows and drive continuous improvement.
    • Ensure procurement team accountability via dashboards and daily management for operational efficiency.
    • Manage, develop, and mentor a team of 3-5+ direct reports, ensuring collaboration, alignment with strategic goals, and professional growth.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and accountability within supply chain teams.
  • Supplier Relationship Management
    • Lead high-value negotiations and contract management to achieve consistent annual performance improvements.
    • Continuously evaluate and manage supplier performance in savings, delivery, quality, and innovation.
    • Foster early collaboration between internal engineering and suppliers to align technical capabilities and business objectives.
    • Cultivate strong, strategic partnerships with key suppliers to enable long-term mutual success.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting
    • Present regular supplier performance reports to executive leadership
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive performance dashboards and analytics to track and communicate key supply chain metrics effectively.
    • Regularly review operational performance, identifying trends and areas requiring proactive intervention.
  • Risk Management
    • Conduct supply chain risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Proactively identify vulnerabilities within the supply chain, develop contingency plans, and lead cross-functional initiatives for risk reduction.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.
  • Operational Efficiency
    • Implement dashboards and daily management practices to ensure timely responses to operational challenges.
    • Streamline processes, reducing waste and enhancing workflow effectiveness through lean methodologies.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve operational bottlenecks swiftly and sustainably.

  • Customer On-Time Delivery (OTD) to request
  • Inventory Turns
  • Purchase Price Variance (PPV)
  • Supplier OTD & Parts Per Million (PPM)

What We Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
  • Master’s Degree Preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years progressive experience in manufacturing; apparel or headwear preferred.
  • At least 8 years of management experience.
  • 10+ years working with Tier 1 or 2 ERP systems (MRP, forecasting, shop floor execution).
  • Proven experience driving operational improvements through lean manufacturing methodologies (DBS, TPS, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated capability to develop and implement global supply chain strategies.
  • Expertise in daily visual management for planning and procurement functions.
  • Strong financial acumen related to operations management.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, domestically and internationally.
