Imperial is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern for a 3-month summer internship to support our Finance team with day-to-day operations, financial reporting, and tax compliance—offering a hands-on opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting

Salary: $17/hr
3 Month Internship
Location: Hybrid - Bourbon, Mo.

What You’ll be Doing

• Support the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations and gain hands-on experience in real-world accounting practices.
• Assist in reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Help prepare internal financial reports and Excel-based spreadsheets.
• Conduct research and compile data for various accounting or finance-related projects.
• Review and update expired tax exemption certificates using our sales tax compliance platform.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze relevant financial data.
• Perform general administrative and clerical tasks as assigned.

What We Need

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Clear communication, critical thinking, and analytical ability.
• A collaborative attitude with the ability to work independently when needed.
